Mid-fire stoneware clay from Clay Art Center (Tacoma), fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. Glazes are mixed in-studio from raw materials and tested for stability.

• Unglazed foot ring, sanded smooth
• Weight and color vary slightly piece to piece

Dishwasher safe on the top rack, though hand washing keeps the glaze surface brightest. Microwave safe.

• Avoid thermal shock — don't move from freezer to oven
• Speckled glazes can mark from metal utensils; a baking-soda paste removes it
• Not for stovetop or broiler use
